Selected examples of computer simulations of bone remodelling:

The hypothesis of optimal response of a bone was used to derive the adaptation laws.
These adaptation laws were applied together with FEM analysis to simulate the process
of bone internal remodeling as a result of variable in time loading.

*  formation of trabecular bone structure under constant in time loading
*  remodeling of bone before and after prosthesis implantation
*  remodeling of 3x3mm sample of bone tissue under variable external loading (cell-based model)
*  prosthesis shape effect in formation of bone structure (three different shapes)
*  non-physiological loads effect in formation of bone structure
*  computer animation of bone functional adaptation (mpg file 44MB,
in case of problems with preview this is recommended to download first)
